Heather and Jason were married at the historical La Valencia hotel in La Jolla, California. The ceremony took place in the hotel’s garden, overlooking the beautiful La Jolla shores. Heather was escorted by both her fathers down the aisle, decorated with a breathtaking rose petal design by Wholesale Flowers.
On top of each guest’s chair sat a storybook of the couple which included photos of them throughout the years, telling their story. The chairs also had beautiful handmade painted cones that were filled with white rose petals. The ceremony was touchingly officiated by Patricia Coleman of A Wedding Celebration, who was wonderful to work with. Friends of the bride, Mark and Alex, played guitar and cello during the ceremony while Heather and Jason stood under a traditional chuppah from Concepts Event Designs.
During the recessional guests celebrated the union by tossing the white rose petals as the newlyweds exited the ceremony. The couple was able to sneak away and wander throughout the picturesque property to take their very first alone shots as husband and wife!
Both the cocktail hour and reception were held in the Verandah room, which was newly renovated to include gorgeous chandeliers that made the space even lovelier. An interior wall was replaced by windows allowing an unobstructed view of the La Jolla shores. A patio was also put in that allowed guests to enjoy the unparalleled California sunset. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful space and view!
The Verandah room was the perfect size for this intimate wedding celebration. Each table was decorated with large mason jars filled with green limes, glass jars holding an assortment of white flowers, and a small black bird cage with a candle inside. The tables were named after places that the couple had traveled together and were identified by the couple’s photo on that trip, giving each table a personal touch for guests to enjoy. Adding more life to this sweet day, Heather and Jason hired a live band, The Ultra Tones, who kept the dance party going all night.
Thank you Bobby and Isaiah for the photos!
