Sweet and beautiful wedding at Tom Hams Lighthouse!

The lovely wedding of Amanda and Tim was intimate and romantic. Amanda and her gorgeous ladies got ready at her parent’s home in the beautiful hills of Mt. Helix in La Mesa, California. This allowed the bride to spend some personal time with those closest to her before the big day.

Amanda and Tim’s first look was at their church, First United Methodist Church in San Diego.  The couple opted to see one another for a first look for some special time prior to them saying “I do”! The looks on their faces clearly show how eager and excited they were to finally become Mr. and Mrs.

Their ceremony was warm and touching with the vast windowscape background adding an airy touch. The church was simply stunning as were the couple and bridal party.

Amanda and Tim went for a traditional ceremony with a couple unconventional touches. Such as their addition of a groomsmaid and a bridesman! This way, each of their closest loved ones could be included in their special ceremony.

Tessfresh flowers adorned the church and reception room with breathtaking flowers. Again, the couple opted for more traditional lightly colored roses in the bridesmaid bouquets and groomsmen’s boutonnieres, although they added exotic bright blue and purple orchids to tie together the bright colors worn by their bridal party.

Their gorgeous wedding dinner reception was at the picturesque Tom Hams Lighthouse.  Guests had a lively evening making great use of the dance floor thanks to the talented Steve of Unique Mobile Sounds. Amanda and Tim truly thought of their guests when designing their reception.

Friends and loved ones were able to enjoy time in a photo booth courtesy of San Diego Photo Booth Rentals. After some silly photo time, guests enjoyed treats from a delicious candy bar!

Heavenly Cupcakes designed the desserts for this day and their display was delightful. The top tier was a large cupcake that the newlyweds cut into and fed to each other. Cupcake displays are becoming increasingly popular replacements for traditional wedding cakes. This way, there’s no messy cutting and each guest gets to choose their favorite flavor to enjoy. Everyone seemed to get a laugh out of the clever custom cake topper.

Tim is clearly a dedicated fan of Indianapolis Colts football! Thank you Danielle of Danielle Hatcher Photography for capturing the day. Her fabulous photography skills shone through to create these spectacular photos, and lasting memories for the newly married couple. The couple’s love for one another was felt by everyone in attendance…just look at their first dance!
