A breathtaking view of the coronado bridge and downtown San Diego is what some travel the world to see. This is exactly what Katie and Jacob’s guests were able to enjoy during their wedding ceremony and reception! The happy couple traveled all the way from sunny Arizona with their closest family and friends to their destination wedding on the bay at Loews Coronado Resort.
Amy Millard captured every special moment of the day, starting at the very beginning, and was a joy to work alongside with. The ladies started their day getting ready with hair and makeup by Noelani’s Makeup Artistry. Katie had a small but very meaningful entourage of one – her sister Lauren that today, doubled as her maid of honor! Jacob also had a very important best man – his brother, Josh.
The couple kicked off their wedding with an intimate first look on a private gondola ride which was amazing! This gondola was inspired by the famous ones of Venice, Italy. The gondolier took them around the San Diego bay to enjoy some alone time before their “I Do’s” were said.
The beautiful lanterns, florals and ceremony arch were designed by the creative florist, TessFresh. When it came time for the bride and groom to become “Mr. and Mrs.” guests took their seats overlooking a magnificent San Diego day. The weather was gorgeous! The ceremony was officiated by David Cutler and the vows between the couple were beautiful.
Bruce Battleson of Battleson Entertainment played the music for the ceremony and reception and organized a creative group photo that got everyone excited to dance the night away.
Baby Cakes provided the delicious cake and yummy cupcakes that matched the sweet decor at the reception. We loved the creative signage the couple included for their day which added personalized elements!
