This Autumn wedding at the Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa was absolutely stunning. All of the elements one would want at a Fall-inspired wedding were included. The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception spaces were dressed up beautifully by many talented hands that came together to create a magical day for our bride and groom, Abbey and Ricky.
After the ladies were dolled up by Claire Young and the men were looking dapper, the couple joined Rabbi Michael Sternfield in signing their Ketubah, a formal marriage contract sacred in the Jewish religion. Photographer Mike Nowak then took the fun-loving bridal party and family to take photos in front of the beautiful backdrop of the Downtown San Diego skyline and iconic Coronado Bay Bridge.
When it came time for the ceremony to begin, guests took their seats on the Bayside Lawn overlooking the San Diego Bay. The gorgeous chuppah caught everyone’s eye. Whimsey Florals created the beautiful chuppah design, and provided all of the amazing floral arrangements for the day.
After their pronouncement as husband and wife, Ricky and Abbey followed their guests to cocktail hour situated on the pier in front of the hotel. Strung with market lights and adorned with real pumpkin lanterns, the cocktail hour had a romantic glow that set the tone for the reception. Guests enjoyed drinks and hors d’oeuvres while Matt Young, a professional magician, kept them entertained!
Cocktail hour came to an end as the rest of the night had just begun! Guests made their way to the reception tent overlooking the bay. The beautiful lighting and decor were provided by The Allstar Group whose talent is evident when looking at the reception space’s final product! Every element stuck with the Fall theme. The escort cards were so creative and the colors of the amazing centerpieces were a beautiful touch.
Abbey and Ricky made sure their family and friends had a great time throughout the night. Everyone danced the night away to music by the band, Wayne Foster Music & Entertainment. When guests needed to rest their feet, Dave Stephens was there to create professional caricatures of them! Also included in the reception space was a fun photo booth provided by Pixster. Kevin from XOXO Wedding Studio was there to capture video of the whole day. Needless to say, guests had the time of their lives celebrating the marriage of two great people!
The newlyweds had a cute cake adorned with Minnie and Mickey Mouse for a traditional cake cutting, but they more enjoy ice cream! They decided to treat their guests to delicious ice cream provided by Ben & Jerry’s Catering!
Thank you to everyone that came together to create such a fantastic day for Abbey and Ricky! Everything turned out beautifully and we are so grateful to have been a part of their special day. Congratulations!
