Vietnamese and Persian Flare

Stunning. Remarkable. Breathtaking. These are some words we would use to describe the unfolding of Jasmin and Rod’s wedding celebration. Jasmin and Rod were having a destination wedding in San Diego. They came from San Francisco and were referred to us by a good friend of owner, Diana Romero. The couple reached out to us last year and we immediately became excited about their wedding vision. They already had the perfect venue – Seaside Scripps Forum in La Jolla with an amazing view of the Pacific ocean. A gorgeous wedding transpired through the blending of the Persian and Vietnamese cultures. We worked together with the perfect vendor team to design their spectacular day.

Jasmin and her ladies began the day with Blush and Adore who provided beauty services for the ladies who looked gorgeous! The ladies, gents and guests stayed at the boutique Hotel La Jolla near the venue which was just a few minutes away from the wedding venue.

Sun Diego Charter transported the bridal party and the couple to Seaside Scripps Forum for beautiful photos with Chaz Cruz, one of the most sought after photographers around!

The unplugged ceremony was nothing less than spectacular.

The groom’s father, Kia officiated the wedding ceremony and included the traditional sofreh aghd. The sofreh aghd is a traditional wedding ceremony spread where legal marriage + ceremonial traditions are exchanged. The ceremonial traditions have been practiced for thousands of years. This sofreh was a tradition for the Persian culture of the grooms side.

The diverse cuisine blended dishes from both cultures by Giuseppes catering. They included delectable bites such as Vietnamese rolls, hummus with pita, sliders, kabobs, stirfries and lo mein noodles. Everything was delicious. What we love about Giuseppes catering is that all the ingredient are sustainable, organic, hormone/antibiotic free and locally sourced. The quality of the ingredients is noticed at the first bite!

Photobus parked out front with their vintage van photo booth which was a hit! This is not your traditional photobooth…it is a vintage bus with the photobooth built inside and parks right at the venue. Not only did we love this unique touch, but so did all the wedding guests!

Platinum Rentals dressed the venue with lighting, rentals and linens while Whimsey Floral adorned the place with amazing floral pieces.

Sugar and Scribe created the dessert bar that displayed an eclectic mix of pies, pie bites and a tiered cake. The idea of a dessert bar is becoming more common for it’s ability to please the entire crowd. The couple chose a small cake and dressed up the table with an assortment of other sweets which the guests enjoyed devouring.

Bruce of Battleson Entertainment provided the music for the day and was on point for every part of the event as usual. The dance floor was packed and the guests had a blast!  Our favorite memory was getting the chance to see the couple enjoy every minute of their day with so many of their closest family and friends. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Jasmin and Rod for having us on board to create such a memorable day. We wish you a lifetime of happiness and love!
