Tango love birds wedding with a vintage twist!

It was a delight to put together the wedding for a couple as fabulous as John and Katie. The two began their love story with a shared passion for tango dancing. Their wedding perfectly embodied their similar interests, with a beautiful vintage twist.

The couple’s flair for style was evident from the very beginning of the night, when the bride stepped out of a 1930s Packard by Hire Old Cars. The venue transformed with the work of Robbie Allen. The bartender provided chair covers and runners while Classic Party Rentals provided all linens for the tables. To make it uniquely theirs, Katie added her special touch by creating her own centerpieces using mercury containers with an assortment of candles.

Artistic Florals provided the floral pieces, ceremony chuppah and palm trees that inspired the creation of the ballroom. Everything came together in a way that best represented all the ways that John and Katie are so wonderful together.

Both halves of the lovely couple possess a passion for helping the environment, and displayed that in their choices of wedding food. Dinners by David went above and beyond with their dishes. David, the owner, created a mouth watering selection of vegan cuisine. The vegan fondant cake from Sweet Cheeks was lovely on top of a vintage rolling cart courtesy of the venue. The cake was creatively designed with a gold flower and teal marbled bottom tier.

One of the best aspects of a wedding is the memories captured in all the pictures taken throughout the celebration. John and Katie opted for a fantastic wedding trend: the photo booth. Theirs featured a romantic background illustrated with the moon and stars. It was ran by David Zumuya, a friend who worked alongside Katie at a non profit a few years back. Guests were able to create fun memories and take home the pictures of such a cherished night.

It was an entertaining evening of laughter and love and appreciation for everything that makes John and Katie so special. The couple got to enjoy their love for tango throughout the entire night. The dance floor was never left empty thanks to the DJ, Allen Walker. They were surrounded by everyone they love most as two families became one.

So with music, smiles, and vintage elegance, Katie and John became husband and wife. We were honored to take part in the occasion. It was such a beautiful wedding, and we know their life together will be even more so. Thank you Derek Chad Photography!

  1. That cake is certainly interesting, not sure I am a fan of the marble looking bottom cake but the gold on white looks pretty amazing, very elegant and artsy.
