Extravagant. Romantic. Breathtaking. The wedding of James and Alexandra was this and so much more! They picked the iconic, Hotel Del Coronado for their wedding and their day could not have been any more perfect. This hotel was built in 1888 and designated a National Historic Landmark in 1977. Hotel del Coronado is a huge part of Coronado’s and San Diego’s history. Tourists from all around the world come to see this hotel when visiting San Diego.
The couple spent the weekend with family and friends at this fabulous hotel leading up to their big day. Alexandra was even able to look out her window the morning of the wedding and watch as the ceremony site was set up on the Windsor Lawn with the beautiful beach background that was awaiting her walk down the aisle.
Alexandra and her ladies started their day with Knight + Veil who provided the hair and makeup services for these already ravishing ladies. The bride’s gown was stunning with exquisite detailed lace and a sheer, buttoned back. She was such a radiant bride!
The couple had close family and friends in their bridal party with the most adorable nieces and nephews as ring bearers and flower girls. The ceremony included the bride’s father escorting her into the ceremony with her mother joining them at the entrance of the aisle. This was such a special moment and a unique way for Alexandra to thank and include her Mom in the wedding.
Even the hotel guests stopped to watch this stunning bride walk down the aisle and shed a tear or two during James and Alexandra’s vows. The couple also included a sand ceremony which is symbolic of two becoming one.
The lawn at Hotel Del was adorned with floral by Flora Glamor. The chuppah was elegant with drapery and floral dressing up the chairs lining the white, rose petal sprinkled the aisle.
Inside the ballroom, was so much beauty. From the candlelit stage, tall centerpieces to the low centerpieces with candles and the three tiered ivory cake by The Cake Lady.
The The chairs, napkins, linens and white dance floor by Concepts Events styled this already perfect ballroom. Everything came together perfectly.
Following the ceremony, guests entered the cocktail hour on the Vista Walk to lively mariachi music! They enjoyed an hour of drinks and delicious hors d’oeuvres while the couple mingled with their guests before heading to the ballroom for the grand entrance. Guests found their table numbers by picking up their wedding favors, picture frames with the name of each guest, on their way into the reception with the mariachis leading the way.
