Disney Romance at Morgan Run

The Venue

Morgan Run is a premiere and private club situated in the Rancho Santa Fe community. Will and Emma exchanged their vows here in early 2020 and it was a majestic day! Emma wore a beautiful princess ball gown style dress and a veil with jeweled mickey head accents. The bridesmaids each had a different hair bow for a different Disney princess!

The wedding shimmered with a silver and blue Disney style. The wedding ticket books provided to guests were for drinks and “admittance” to the Photo Booth. The handmade decorations curated by the mother of the bride, Regina made it very special.  The brother of the bride assisted with the graphic design. The programs were a Disney guide map. Guests were handed books upon arrival, which resembled the old ticket books guests would receive upon entering Disneyland.

A wooden directional sign on the patio pointed to different lands from Disney movies. A large poster listed the guests table assignments was designed like a Disneyland Park map. There was a traditional guest book as well as an alternative one which invited guests to sign wooden hearts to be placed in a wooden jar for the couple’s home.

All of the flowers were paper floral which the mother of the bride handcrafted from Disney books.  These were used for the bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages.

The Ceremony

The indoor ceremony had a beautiful arch adjacent to the windows, which provided an amazing view of the golf course. A slideshow of the couple welcomed the guests as Disney prelude music played. The wedding party processed to “Once Upon A Dream,” while the bride entered to “A Whole New World.”

Cocktail Hour

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails on the patio, including the signature drink “The Mowgli Bear” which was a blend of vodka, blue curaçao and lemonade. The couple took photos after the ceremony, enjoying some alone time on the golf course.

The cake was a gorgeous 3-tiered cake from Cute Cakes.  It was glittery with a beautiful and edible silver bow.  The topper was a silhouette of the bride, groom and their dog. The cake table was Sleeping Beauty themed and had light up roses, a sleeping beauty statue, and  a mini spinning wheel.  The mother of the bride also customized toasting flutes for the couple with tiny mickey head gems on the base.

Dinner Reception

When doors opened to reception, the bride, groom, maid of honor, and best man formed a receiving line to greet each guest.  The wedding party then entered to “I’ll Be There For You” by the Rembrandts, and the couple entered to “The Empire March” from Star Wars.

The guests had cute drink coasters to put on their drinks when they went to dance, which said fun things such as, “don’t take my drink, I’m on splash mountain” which was a cute touch!

Each guest table was dressed in a silver sequin linen with a light blue satin runner and styled with a Disney movie or book.  Each table had a clear vase with a silhouette of the table’s name and characters from that movie or book with fairy lights inside.  The guests were given a Disney silver key favor.

The memorial table honored loved ones who were lost and not able to be present.  There was a point at which a special memorial song was played and guests were asked to take time to honor and reflect on those lost loved ones.

Thank you Will and Emma for allowing us to be part of such a special day!
